The lighthouse is located on the western outskirts and at the small port of Podersdorf am See. It has a height of about twelve meters, which is sufficient to allow it to be recognized from afar in the flat landscape of the Neusiedler Basin. The tower was built as a landmark and for storm warnings for water sports enthusiasts and is now a tourist attraction.
