Beginner LUA Scripting in Half Life Alyx Workshop Tools: Instantly Teleporting Players and Entities

This Half-Life: Alyx Workshop Tools (Source 2/Hammer) tutorial demonstrates how you can use Lua scripts to perform custom actions in your mods or maps. I'll show you how to wire up a script to a button, and describe the code you can use to find a player or some other entity in a map and modify their position, instant teleportation, using a Valve's vscripting functionality that relies on Lua.

Once you get the hang of it, vscript can be very powerful for building out custom functionality and is pretty much a must for complex custom maps and mods.
