🏔️ Welcome to Olympic Spa Hotel: A Harmonious Alpine Retreat in the Dolomites 🌲

Nestled in the heart of Italy’s Val di Fassa, the Olympic Spa Hotel by noa* (Network of Architecture) offers a unique retreat where architecture seamlessly merges with the majestic Dolomites. This expansion of the existing hotel invites guests to connect deeply with nature, showcasing a model of sustainable and immersive alpine hospitality.

Inspired by Nature:

The design shifts the hotel’s focus from the provincial road to a tranquil, sloping forest behind it, guiding guests toward the Avisio stream and the surrounding woodlands. This natural orientation led to the creation of ten new rooms nestled within the landscape, connected by an underground pathway. A striking feature is the forest sauna—a wooden structure set above the treetops, accessible by an elevated walkway that feels like a floating forest path.

Architectural Harmony:

The hotel’s silhouette reflects the peaks and valleys of the Dolomites, with distinctive, sloping rooflines and grey plaster facades that echo the rocky terrain. Sustainable practices shine through: from using local materials to partially embedding rooms in the slope, each choice reinforces the hotel’s environmental commitment.

Unique Rooms: Te Bosch & Te Aga:

The new rooms offer serene, nature-inspired experiences. “Te Bosch” rooms open to private forest patios, filling each space with natural light and greenery, while “Te Aga” rooms center on the element of water, each equipped with a stone fountain that provides fresh mountain spring water, reducing plastic waste. Locally sourced oak and larch wood accent the interiors, creating a warm, authentic ambiance. The double-level suite, perched atop the building, is a luxurious retreat with forest views from every angle and a private spa area.

Forest Sauna Experience:

A highlight of the design is the elevated forest sauna. Crafted entirely of wood, with larch cladding outside and spruce treated with black wax inside, it blends effortlessly into the landscape. Accessible only from the outside, the sauna encourages guests to step into nature to enjoy a truly immersive experience.

Through thoughtful design, the Olympic Spa Hotel connects guests to the stunning Dolomite landscape. It’s more than a stay—it’s a harmonious sanctuary that celebrates alpine beauty and sustainable hospitality. 🏞️
