Building large scale application is more difficult than many people understand or expect. Join me in this long running series where I set out to duplicate one of the most popular social media platforms ever creating using Java, Spring Boot, Spring Security, PostgreSQL data, React JS web application framework and more.

In this episode we start working on some of the finer details of the messaging aspect of twitter. Specifically in this episode we work on the ability to hover over the individual messages in the application to give us more options of how to interact with them. After we get the basic logic for hovering over the messages completed we start on the first of two new popup modals which give us options to interact with a message. We create a new MessageMoreModal component and style it up before adding it to our MessageContainer component for testing and making sure it looks and feels like twitter.
