The LA-2A has been one of the compressors I’ve used most for vocals in recent years, though not the Universal Audio version but the one from Black Rooster Audio. I’m using this short video to also briefly compare the two. Personally, I don’t really hear a difference apart from the loudness, so I kept my own comments to a minimum - but I’m curious to hear your thoughts and opinions!
