The Maharashtra government has announced a major change in the Online Registration process for Rent Agreements (Leave & License).
As per the circular dated 28th August 2025, the appointment of all Authorized Service Providers (ASPs) has been cancelled with immediate effect.
This means that now both tenants and landlords will have to register their rent agreements directly on the government’s online portal — without the involvement of middlemen.
