Speedy and his offspring showed up at the southern site ready to eat live mealworms. Speedy was first down and ate his first mealworm and took the second mealworm with him. The offspring still needs encouragement to come down for the live mealworm, but he did make his way down and took a mealworm and flew to the fence. His not taking the second mealworm left Speedy open to stealing the juvenile's second mealworm. The juvenile Mockingbird was lucky that Jay was there and ready to toss another mealworm down, which the juvenile took and departed.

Fluffy was at her area when we arrived. I just needed to top off her water dish and head to the groundcover area where Jay put treats down for Fluffy. After Fluffy joined Jay who was dishing out breakfast, I watched as her dad, Lucifer safely crossed Evans Road, from the hillside. He found a nearby bush to wait for Jay to be finished. I made a video of him while he waited.

Kali was at the Lutheran Church when we arrived. As Jay put treats down for her on the cement curb in the church's back parking lot, Kali made her way over toward the cement curb. Once the treats were down and Jay stepped away, she came over and ate the treats. As Kali ate her treats I spotted a very good-looking grey tabby walking on the other side of the church's driveway. It had a collar on which means it most likely belonged to one of the people in the condos next to the church.

As we reached the house that is just north of Alviso Adobe Court, Jay pointed out the mom Wild Turkey, her three chicks and the Nanny female. These are the turkey chicks that are about 4 months old now and not the recent young chicks we have spotted. One by one, the turkeys flew from the lawn up to the rooftop.

When we reached Alviso Adobe Park, Jay headed to the back area as he had spotted a Great Blue Heron on the hillside behind the park. Jay made a video of the Heron who was hunting for its breakfast but was not successful during Jay's video. When I was at the back area of the park, the mom Turkey and her three chicks that I had seen earlier flew up to the fence that is draped with Merlot Grapevine. The grapes are starting to turn from green to their dark purple color and the turkeys were enjoying feasting on them. One of the chicks hopped into the leafy grapevine to get to more grapes. Mark, the park's resident Nothern Mockingbird and his buddy, Michael showed up at the picnic table and took care of the live mealworms that Jay put on the table. Later, Mark returned and went to the ground where he knew Jay put more live mealworms and ate some of those mealworms. We had several of the Cotton-Tailed Rabbits on the bark area enjoying the cracked corn and iceberg lettuce. One of the rabbits came over to the water dish and was drinking until a ground squirrel momentarily startled it. It did return to the water dish and finish getting its long drink of water. We also had the two male Wild Turkeys show up and until encouraged to leave, were eating the cracked corn on the bark. As we were getting ready to leave, I spotted the same mom turkey, her three chicks and the nanny female by the front wooden fence and made of video. The mom and nanny were walking toward me and I just stood still, waiting to see how close they might come, when a person arrived and caused the two females to veer away and go check on the chicks.
I was enjoying the moment until the arrival of the person broke the 'Spell'.

Kali was still at the Lutheran Church on our return and Jay gave her more treats. As is normal for Kali, she will only come so close to where Jay is, then she waits and once he walks away, she will approach the treats.

As we were getting ready to leave Kali's area, Jay spotted a RedTailed Hawk on fence post, on the hillside near Whispering Hills Ranch. When he zoomed in, he realized the hawk had caught prey and was eating it. A second RedTailed Hawk arrived and perched on a nearby fence post.

Fluffy was at her area when we returned and while I was doing the video of her, she came over to me and let me know she wanted to be petted. I am always happy to oblige Fluffy when she is in what I refer to as her 'Lovely Mood' which she was this morning.
