Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has issued a stern warning to Pakistan over the Sir Creek dispute, stating that any misadventure in the region will be met with a “decisive response” capable of “changing both history and geography.”

The Sir Creek estuary, a 96 km tidal stretch between Gujarat (India) and Sindh (Pakistan), has long been a point of contention, with both nations claiming maritime boundaries. The area holds strategic and economic importance due to potential oil and gas reserves.

Rajnath Singh highlighted that Pakistan’s military expansion in the region exposes its intentions and emphasized the security risks, recalling that the 2008 Mumbai attacks originated from this area.
