In today’s tutorial I’m going to show you how to find out what motherboard your computer is using.

To get started:
1. Go into the Windows start bar, and type in “Command Prompt”.
2. Right click on the “Command Prompt” application, and click on the “Run as administrator” option.
3. Within command prompt, you’ll want to type in the following command: wmic baseboard get product,manufacturer
4. Once you’ve entered the command, hit the enter key on your keyboard.
5. Your computer’s baseboard manufacturer name, and product model number will now be displayed.
6. As you can see, my laptop has a HP 8723 motherboard installed.

And it’s as easy as that, finding out your computer’s motherboard is a simple task to perform.

What is a motherboard?
A motherboard, also known as the mainboard or system board, is a crucial component in a personal computer (PC). It serves as the central hub that connects various hardware components, allowing them to communicate and work together.

The motherboard provides the physical and electrical connections for the CPU (Central Processing Unit), RAM (Random Access Memory), storage devices, expansion cards, and other essential peripherals.
