BGE Train the trainers - Day 3 (4): Taxonomy and photographs

This video includes two parts. In the first part, it outlines the procedure of retrieving taxonomical information for consensus DNA sequences from reference samples. It provides step-by-step instructions on how to assess the results of the identification engine of the web interface of the Barcode of Life Data Systems (BOLD) and discusses best practices and limitations. In the second part, the video outlines the importance of photographic records for submitted reference sequences and also goes into detail on how the identification procedure is achieved in museum specimens.
