A man from California was arrested on the Ohio Turnpike after state troopers discovered drugs in his vehicle. Edward Hanserd, who is 60 years old, was stopped on Tuesday morning for tailgating. After bringing in a drug-sniffing dog, troopers found around $45,000 worth of cocaine and marijuana in Hanserd's 2020 Chevrolet Impala, which had Michigan license plates. In total, the troopers seized 508 grams of cocaine and two pounds of marijuana from the car. Hanserd was taken into custody and is currently being held at Summit County Jail. He faces charges of cocaine possession and trafficking, as well as marijuana possession.
