Why You Should Turn Your Rabbit Nest Box Sideways | Rabbitry

Just wanted to show you the purpose of turning your nest box sideways. We do this after about a week after birth. This is to ensure that if a bunny gets out of the nest box they have an easy way to get back in. Especially in the Winter when it's pretty cold out, you don't want a baby rabbit outside the warm of its siblings.

Another reason to turn this nest box sideways is to give the mother somewhere to rest and get away from the babies. She likes to jump on top.
