- WHAT IS A RANKDOWN?

If you're familiar with chart ranking spaces, this rankdown will seem a little unusual to you. This form of rankdown is a chaotic-yet-organised method of creating a final ranking.

Players will each take turns nominating the worst song they can from the complete list, putting it into a pool of songs, and then cutting the worst song from the same pool. Players cannot cut their own nominations, so it's about evaluating the worst song from everyone else's nominations. When a song is cut, that is the song's final placement. This keeps going until only a few songs remain, in which they join the jury. All players send in their ranked order of the jury songs, and the average scores decide the final placements to crown a winner. Players also have access to other tools like saves to remove songs from the nomination pool and give them some immunity.

Due to a large number of signups, this rankdown was split into East & West. This is basically just 2 concurrent rankdowns with a different set of people. Usually these would use the same song list but due to the large number of song submissions, each side used a different list composed of the song choices from the OTHER side (meaning people could not interact with their own submissions). This is the song list for the East participants.

This list is a Choose Your Own Rankdown, meaning the songs were chosen by members of the Discord. The rules for this rankdown were that people must pick 10 songs from their 2023 Spotify Wrapped.
