***Red wine beef stew recipe***
Ingredients :
1 kg Beef brisket or chuck steak
150g Bacon
1 tbsp olive oil
2 carrots
2 brown onion
3 glasses of red wine
3 cups beef stock
1 tbsp tomato paste
3 cloves garlic
3pcs Thyme
2 pcs Bay leaf
1 tsp salt
1 tsp ground black pepper
1/2 tsp of Paprika powder
2 tbsp flour
400g Mushroom
2 tbsp butter

Method:
1. Preheat the oven to 230c degrees
2. Cut bacon into strips
3.Cut the beef into cubes about 50g
4. The beef does not need to be washed, use paper towels to
absorb the moisture on the surface of the beef
5. Cut the carrot into heart shape or any shape of your choice
6. Cut the onions into small pieces
7. Open red wine for breathe
8. Heat a heavy based casserole pot on medium heat, pour olive
oil, add the bacon fry for (2-3 minutes), then remove the bacon,
keep the oil on the pan
9. Continue to heat the oil to add the beef cubes, fry all sides until
slightly golden brown, and then remove the beef
10. Use the remaining oil and add butter to fry the onion and
carrots about 5 minutes. And remove all the delicious brown stuff
from the bottom of the pot.
11. Put all the meat back to the pot and then sprinkle the surface
with flour thinly, put it in the preheated oven 230c and bake for 4
minutes
12. After 4 minutes turn the meat over, sprinkle the surface with
flour and bake for another 4 minutes
13. After 4 minutes take out the pot back to the stove and turn the
oven heat to 160°C Add tomato paste and red wine bring it to boil,
14. then add beef stock, garlic, thyme , bay leaf, salt, black pepper
and paprika powder evenly (the soup should just cover the meat, if
it is not enough, add more stock) over medium-low heat until
boiling
15. Cover the lid and bake for 3 hours or until the meat is tender.
Turn the meat over every hour to check the height of the sauce. It
should just covers the meat. You can add beef broth or red wine if
necessary.
16. Heat olive oil and butter over high heat, add mushrooms, and
stir-fry for 7 to 8 minutes, until the mushrooms are evenly golden.
(The mushrooms must be dry and the oil must be very hot, so that
the color can be even and beautiful)
17. Remove the beef pot from the oven when the time is up. By
this time, the beef should be very soft and tender. Add the
mushrooms and bacon close the lid, and put it back in the oven to
bake for 5-10 minutes.
18. Finally the beef sauce should be slightly thicker. If it is too
thick, you can add a little more beef stock. If it is too watery, you
can open the lid and put it in the oven, or add a little flour and stir
to the desired consistency.
19. A bowl of delicious red wine beef stew is finally finished, can’t
