I've always wanted to do a proper video essay. I watch a lot of them myself, but personally I find it to be a hard leap up trying to find meaning or a point to make about a specific scene or motif. That being said, this film is perfect for the kind of artsy feel I was going for, and though I only really have a couple of odd references, hopefully this video did a fairly good job of what it wanted to. More than anything, I guess this came out more as a kind of expression of feelings, which in itself could be seen as equally valid in regards to discussing the magic of Hayao Miyazaki's work and their legacy. I dunno. It's all about politics and the message of the film. That's what I was going for. Yeah. Just went on a bit of a ramble as I went about it haha. Can you tell this kinda format doesn't come quite so easily to me hahahah
