Daladawatta Purana Maha Viharaya දළදාවත්ත මහා විහාරය is a Buddhist temple situated in Talpitiya village in Kalutara District, Sri Lanka. This Viharaya is famous among the devotees due to its annual procession which is held for a few days immediately after the conclusion of the Kandy Esala Perahera. This temple is said to have been established in 1879 by the villagers. The ancient image house and preaching hall (Darmashalawa) situated within the premises of the Daladawaththa Purana Viharaya in the village of Talpitiya in the Grama Niladari Division of Talpitiya-South (GND No. 697) in the Divisional Secretary’s Division of Panadura are archaeological protected monuments, declared by a government notification published on 27 December 2013.

For the annual Sri Dalada Pujotsavaya of Wadduwa Talpitiya Daladawatta Purana Maha Viharasta, many huge structures were built this year as well. Among these, the toran built by the energetic youth of Udugalla at Galpotta junction and the toran at Talpitiya junction built by the young people of Dalada Watta Purana Maha Vihara under the initiative of Mr. Ranjith Premalal are also notable. This is mainly Daul 102, Tammattam 82, Gata bera 08, Low Country Yak bera 8 and Raban 32 models and using dry coconut leaves as raw materials, coir ropes and raw cloth are a design made. On both sides of the dental box, Hevisi Teva has created the mine, and a huge lotus flower has also been made in the center of the dental box.

Daladawatta Heavisi
Under the patronage of Talpitiya Chanda Ratana Na Thero and sponsored by the then Sri Revata Dhamma School, this year Talpitiya Sri Dalada Perahera has the largest group of children in Sri Lanka, a Talampota group consisting of 20 children, a group of girls, a Dhamma school group and a mask group, Daladawatta Hevisi which has won a famous name in the island. 135 people participated as a group.

Talpitiya Kohomba kankariya 2023
At the end of the Perahera Pujotsava, a Kohomba Kankari Shantikarma, which is the main pacification ceremony of the Udara dance tradition, was conducted on August 5, 2023 at Daladawatta Purana Mahaviharasthan under the leadership of Udara Tittapajjala family.

ඓතිහාසික කරුණු කාරණා රැසක් නිසාම ප්‍රචලිත තල්පිටිය, කළුතර දිස්ත්‍රික්කයේ වාද්දුව ප්‍රදේශයේ පිහිටි ගම්වරයකි. වාද්දුව, තල්පිටිය ශ්‍රී දළදාවත්ත පුරාණ මහා විහාරය එහි ලා ප්‍රබල සාධකයකි. දළදා වහන්සේ හා සබැඳි පුරාවෘත්තයන් එය වඩාත් තීව්‍ර කරවයි. කළුතර දිස්ත්‍රික්කයේ ඇති ඓතිහාසික වෙහෙර අතරින් වාද්දුව, තල්පිටිය ශ්‍රී දළදාවත්ත පුරාණ මහා විහාරස්ථානයට හිමි වන්නේ සුවිශේෂී ස්ථානයකි. පුදබිමෙහි පෞරාණිකත්වය හා ඓතිහාසික පූජනීයත්වය නිසාම දළදාවතු මහා වෙහෙර බොදු දනන්ගේ නිබඳ වන්දනීයත්වයට පාත්‍රව ඇත්තේය. 1933 වසරේදී පනාගොඩ ධම්මරතන නාහිමියන්ගේ අනුශාසනා පරිදි ඇරඹි ශ්‍රී දළදා පෙරහර සහිත දළදා පූජෝත්සවය 2023 මෙවර 90වැනි වරටත් 2023/07/22 දින අත්‍යාලංකාරයෙන් පැවැත්වීය.
