11th August 2020 - Stoke and Cheshire Storm

Описание к видео 11th August 2020 - Stoke and Cheshire Storm

A prolonged heatwave was occuring across England with temperatures over 34c in parts over 5 consecutive days by the end of the 11th. This came with very high humidity and a warm layer above holding a build up of unstable energy under a lid. This risked leading to a loaded gun scenario, with explosive and potentially severe thunderstorms expected should the lid be broken. The first storms began breaking out across the Midlands by the evening, and these were set to slowly migrate northwestwards.
