Thousands of Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) aspirants continued their protest at Gandhi Maidan in Patna on 29 December, demanding a re-examination of the 70th BPSC preliminary exams. While cops lathi-charged and used water cannons to disperse the crowd, the protestors also broke police barricades as they demanded a re-exam. The demonstrators, firm on their demand to meet Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to discuss the impasse, broke through two barricades set up by the police near JP Golambar.
