A couple weeks ago LOK Grips tapped me to review and post videos and photos of their grips on the Shadow 2’s. Everyone of my subscribers/viewers know how much I love my Magenta Purple grips, they’re pretty much welded to my identity and channel because they fit my hands so well and because I don’t get sweaty hands, I saw no reason to change them and told the nice people at LOK Grips that it’s going to be a hard sell to get me to switch.

This is my very first experience with LOK Grips and knew of them through reputation alone, through my subscribers and through the channels I subscribe to. So I was really blown away to be given this opportunity. I’m not a big channel with a broad range of interests and things to offer, but do I love my Shadow 2s.

So I ordered the black LOK Grips because I figured that colour would work with the coloured mag base pads I have. But now I’m a bit torn, on the one hand, in retrospect, I wish I had ordered some flashier grips; on the other, I’m glad I ordered the Plain Jane black grips and let myself be sold on the function and not appearance. Like buying a cherry red Fiero (you’ll have to look that up). Sure enough, as soon as I got them in my hands I was a LOKvert.

The checkering on the Shadow 2, instead of being limited to the front and rear is now 360 degrees around the gun with the LOK Grips in place. And grip is EVERYTHING. The checkering on the LOK Grips is identical to the front and rear checkering on the gun, it’s aggressive without being abusive and the thin G10’s fit my hands perfectly just like the stock grips, except with a whole lot more security.
