SELENA GOMEZ SAYS SHE HAD TO HIT ‘ROCK BOTTOM’ TO GET THE MENTAL HEALTH TREATMENT SHE NEEDED

Selena Gomez, the singer, has been open about her mental health, releasing a documentary called Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me in 2022. The documentary has helped millions of people and Gomez has been sharing vulnerable stories since. Gomez was "terrified" to release the documentary but found it helped release anxiety. She has been dating Benny Blanco and has been in treatment centers three times. She believes that therapy is not something that can be forced and that it is not something that can be forced. The biggest thing that has helped Gomez is dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), which she holds close to her heart. DBT is a cognitive-behavioral therapy that has been adapted to treat mood disorders, eating disorders, substance abuse, and PTSD. One skill she has learned in DBT is RAIN, which involves recognizing and allowing feelings to re-pop into her head.
