An electromagnetic line source generates a cylindrical wave, using a pulse excitation. Observation points are used in a circle to measure the fields. The line source is not located in the center of the circle.

The observation points are replaced by line sources and the line source is replaced by an observation point. The previously measured signals are time reversed to generate the excitations for the line sources.

The original pulse excitation is retrieved at the final observation point.

This simulation was performed in Matlab by using the FDTD method.
