In this video we will be discussing how to make woven belts for Amtgard, Dagorhir, Belegarth and other Larp games from concept to final pricing and everything in between. In Amtgard, Dagorhir, Belegarth and other Larp games, belts are used to signify rank or achievement. They can also be used to show off your unit colors or a knightly belt line. In Amtgard, Dagorhir, Belegarth and other Larp games, it is also useful to make sure that your tunic stays down while you are fighting. Woven belts are a great way of achieving that while looking good also. All of the belts that I make for Amtgard, Dagohir, Belegarth and other Larp games are made using finger weaving techniques. Many of these techniques can be found in traditional, period sources. I have adapted them to modern materials like paracord and macramé. The majority of the belts that I make for Amtgard, Dagorhir, Belegarth and other Larp games are made using paracord and macramé. These materials hold up well to the elements and fighting alike. If you are looking for what type of Larp would use belts like this or what game you would want to try, I would recommend taking a look at Amtgard and Dagorhir. These are the two that I have the most experience with. I have also heard good things about Belegarth and Darkon also. I have played in the SCA a few times also and found that to be very enjoyable.
