This video shows the manufacturing process behind a TSUPS™ (Thermal Studs Ultimate Panel System) panel — exactly how it’s built, step by step, in a controlled environment.
No marketing.
No brand lock-in.
Just the process.
TSUPS is not a single product.
It is a manufacturing and assembly system that works with a wide range of materials and structural choices.
Studs & Structure
The framing members can be the builder’s or designer’s choice, including:
• conventional wood studs
• LVL / LSL
• metal studs
• Tstuds
• WarmStud™
• RhinoStud™
• or any comparable structural member
The system is material-agnostic by design.
Assemblies
TSUPS can be used for:
• wall panels
• roof assemblies
• floor assemblies
• wall panels
• roof trusses
• floor trusses
The goal is not a specific product — it’s repeatable performance.
Sheathing & Dry-In
• Sheathing can be any brand or product of choice
• Panels are sealed in the plant using an ice-and-water-shield–type membrane, allowing for instant dry-in
• This dramatically reduces weather risk, jobsite exposure, and construction delays
Moisture & Exterior Control
• Wall panels are delivered with a water-resistive barrier (WRB) already integrated
• DrainStrip™ (or similar systems) can be added optionally to provide:
• a rainscreen gap
• passive ventilation
• exterior cooling and drying
Why This Exists
TSUPS was developed to address problems common in field-built assemblies:
• inconsistent quality
• uncontrolled temperature and humidity during installation
• thermal bridging
• air and moisture leakage
• variability in spray foam or insulation performance
By moving critical steps into a controlled manufacturing environment, assemblies can be:
• built consistently
• fully cured and stabilized
• verified before they ever reach the site
This is systems thinking, not brand dependence.
I don’t build houses.
I design systems that allow buildings to behave predictably — across climates, materials, and construction methods.
This video is shared for educational purposes for builders, designers, engineers, manufacturers, and anyone interested in:
• panelized construction
• off-site manufacturing
• high-performance envelopes
• long-term durability
• building physics
If you want to understand the why behind assemblies like this — including how slabs, foundations, walls, roofs, windows, doors, and mechanical systems work together — that framework is documented in the Carbonless Logic Playbook + Checklist.
They exist so critical decisions don’t get missed.
