(19 May 2017) LEADIN
There's global interest in the society wedding of Pippa Middleton this weekend under the watchful eye of her sister Kate, Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William.
While everyone is waiting to see what sort of gown she will choose, in Los Angeles the wedding dress trend is to bare what you dare and go for glamour.

Less is more when it comes to wedding dress trends for 2017.
This year brides are showing skin and loving it.
Trending now are deep plunging necklines, low cut backs, illusion necklines, off the shoulder, form-hugging shapes, skin-tone mesh, sleek minimal looks, and glittery beading.
Today's bride is checking out the social media for influences and trends to outshine her guests with show stopping gowns.
Experts say the 2017 bride is confident, sharply aware of the styles and what others are doing.
At Panache Bridal in Beverly Hills, a luxury speciality retailer of collections from world coveted bridal designers, the latest styles are everywhere.
Just about every wedding dress style today has another off-the-shoulder strapless version.
Dresses are sexy rather than demure.
Briannah Jayde, fashion director of Panache Bridal says today's bride wants to stand out and show off who she is.
"They want to look incredible and they want the hottest newest trends. They want something they have never seen before. They also want something that is hard to get," says Jayde.
Annisa Wynn is getting married a year from now and a as full time makeup artist she knows exactly the result she is going for.
"Most definitely I want to have the latest and greatest style dress out there, very fit, and flared beaded, lots of glitter, I want to look like myself but not like any other bride," says Wynn.
Jayde says illusion mesh is popular as brides want to look like they are part of the dress.
"What's new this year in 2017 are the illusion mesh. The illusion mesh is everything these days. The brides like to have the dress look like it's actually painted on them but suspended by mesh," says Jayde.
All the gowns, whatever style are about the bride being centre stage.
Dresses making it off the designer runaways and into the showrooms are ballroom gowns, dresses with oversized bows and some giant-tiered skirts.
There are modern column dresses too.
Many of the sheer fabrics and ruffles are this year sporting a slight blush, not from the bride but from the fabric with summer pink tones.
Jayde says brides see things in magazines and want it themselves.
Medical student Karina Poldon is getting married next month (June 3, 2017).
"I think I definitely looked into it a little bit just to see what was more edgy or in style but I also said when I go and put on a dress, I'm going to put it on and see what feels good and see what feels like me as well," says Poldon.
Kingsley James, is another designer bridal couture company serving high end brides who want a modern look.
A lot of gowns here now have sleeves, a trend set by Kate Middleton which is growing in popularity as Pippa Middleton is about to get married.
Dawn Silva Rigney, co-owner of Kingsley James says today's bride is all about social media influence.
These brides don't necessarily like wear white, they just want to stand out.
"They are definitely a high demand for your out of the box brides. They want something different, unique. You have your very bohemian style with a whole Coachella feel. Their ultimate goal is to be themselves and just to have a more relaxed feel but also still keeping in line with your basic bridal gown," says Silva
