Historical places of interest Lohagarh Math

Lohagarh, located 1.5 km southwest of Chandra Bazar in West Balithuba Union of Faridganj Upazila under Chandpur District, is still standing as a heroic witness.
The village is named 'Lohagarh' after the two brothers 'Loha' and Gahar of the mighty zamindar family. It is said that a British man visited the monastery and built a road from the bank of the river to his brother's house with a quarter and a half. This road is now extinct.
About a thousand years ago, Su-Uchcha built a monastery on the banks of the river Dakatiya and three other small monasteries near it as a guide to their position.
Many people think that there are diamonds, pearls, rubies, gold bullion and gold coins inside the monastery and at different times secret thieves have repeatedly failed in their attempts to steal.

Every day many people are gathering to enjoy the beauty of the monastery. The monastery has now become a place of interest.
