What a year 2025 was. While it's still fresh i thought i'd do a little recap of the year that was. Whether it was working with international YouTube sensations Viva La Dirt League or a sellout season of live theatre with Auckland Theatre Company. From University of Auckland Media Studies students first short films, or to international festival acclaimed shorts. Be it a feature film debut dazzling Sundance, indy short films and pilot shows yet to debut or the first ever New Zealand TV series to show at Cannes, they all shared one great thing in common. They were all made here, with amazing Kiwi crew, whether making their own personal debut or veterans reminiscing of celluloid dreams. They all featured homegrown talent, from children learning as they went or actors delivering yet another master class for the ages, or stunt performers i’ve taught mentored and watched move onto international success. And all of these talented individuals entrusted me with their respect and their own safety to enable me to contribute to the success of so many projects.
I want to extend a huge grateful thanks to all that made my 2025 so enjoyable; Dayna Pomare Pai, The New Zealand Stunt School, New Zealand Action Talent, Viva La Dirt League (Adam, Rowan, Alan, Raluca and Tom), Auckland Theatre Company, Sums Selvarajan, Shane Bosher, Cameron Rhodes, Ryan O'Kane, Sophie Henderson., Lusty Productions, Rachel Fawcett, Victoria Abboult, Gwen Lin, Great Southern Television , Thunderclips, Morgan Leigh-Stewart,Alix Whittikar, Nicole Chen, Di Chen, Kelly Chen, University of Auckland, Connor Slattery, Charisse Uy, Samantha Dutton, Todd Karehana, Hori Ahipene, New Zealand Film Commission, Shoko Kurata, Pulkit Arora, Craig Gainsborough-Waring and the many others i’ve bound to have missed
