The reason why you get stuck in the cycle of sin is because you’re too focused on NOT sinning. Don’t think that just because God forgave you, He won’t discipline you. You still have to face the CONSEQUENCES of whatever sin you’ve committed but in God’s presence. You must understand that this is only so that your relationship can grow stronger with Him… and when you become closer to God, you focus less on “not sinning” and instead you focus on becoming a Man/woman of God who doesn’t sin. Don’t focus on NOT sinning because that’s only gonna lead you to want to sin more. But rather focus on living through God’s principles and getting closer to Him and naturally, the voice of God will become louder and stronger and when the temptation of sin comes you’ll be ready to fight it because you’re equipped with the armor of the Lord.
