Reform UK have ramped up their attacks on local government pension “waste” as they target local government pensions.

During a press conference, the party said years of underperformance, high investment fees, and “woke” net zero mandates have left councils accused of losing taxpayers up to £10bn a year.

Deputy leader Richard Tice believes council pension schemes are failing savers, rewarding fund managers with six-figure pay packets, and ignoring opportunities for better returns.
