Figs are great for new gardeners they are relatively easy to grow and are not high maintenance. Figs like living in containers and so are a perfect fruit tree to grow in a small garden. The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago and the second best time is now and this episode covers growing a young fig tree as well as routine care and maintenance on my mature 20 year old fig tree.
