In this video, we walk through an off-grid electrical upgrade installed in the garage area of a motorhome, built for serious power, reliability, and long-term off-grid use.

The system is centred around Victron Energy components and high-capacity lithium storage, all carefully laid out in the garage space to keep everything accessible, tidy, and serviceable.

System Overview:
• Victron MultiPlus II inverter/charger – 3000VA
• Victron MPPT 100/50 solar charge controller
• Victron Orion XS DC-DC charger
• 2 x 460Ah Fogstar Drift lithium batteries
• 2 x 200W solar panels mounted on the roof
• Victron monitoring screen installed inside the motorhome

This setup provides a powerful and efficient off-grid solution, capable of handling high loads while maintaining clean charging from both solar and the vehicle. The internal Victron display allows easy real-time monitoring of battery status, solar input, and system performance from inside the living area.

Alongside the new Victron equipment, we also retained the factory-fitted DC-DC charger, allowing it to work in addition to the Victron Orion XS. This gives the customer greater overall charging capacity while driving, improving recharge times and making the system even more effective for off-grid use.
