Looking for some cheap plants? Head to the 'sale' section of your local homeware store. Plants may look a little rough, but don't pass them over for costly alternatives; many bargain bin plants can easily be refreshed with a little water, deadheading and potting on.

I love a good bargain, and though I'm happy to spend on plants, it's always to get a little more for less. In this video, I'll tell you where to hunt for a few bargains (hint: visit the sale section of your homewares store) and how to perk up those plants.

Many of the plants in the sale section are often going over, end of the season or have simply become neglected; dead leaves, dry roots, not deadheaded. A bit of love and care and you can bring these plants back to life - though take care for drying out; bone dry root-balls are often a death sentence and are less likely to be rejuvenated. BUT, if there's still some life in the leaves, give it a go!
