This is part of the wider M25 Junction 28 and A12 improvements, aimed at increasing capacity and cutting the queues that have backed up around this roundabout for years. National Highways have confirmed the new A12 off slip to the Brook Street Roundabout has opened, routing traffic over the new Maylands Bridge.

Has it reduced traffic on the roundabout yet? In theory, taking some movements off the roundabout should ease pressure, and the scheme is specifically intended to reduce congestion and queuing on the slip roads.
