HIPEC, Hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy, is a novel and innovative technique for the treatment of advanced stages of abdominal cancers. #HIPEC surgery is a procedure in which the cancerous cells in your abdominal cavity is exposed to heated chemotherapy drugs. This allows the surgeon to access and destroy even the minutest cancerous cells which may not be otherwise accessible through traditional chemotherapy.

HIPEC surgery involves delivering high doses of chemotherapy into the abdomen to treat cancer that has spread beyond the organ from which it originated.
