Recurring tasks » Ideal for work that you need to do on a daily, weekly, monthly, annual basis at specific time intervals e.g. monthly accounting, weekly reporting.

Task templates » Better for adhoc work that comes up from time to time but the frequency is more random. e.g. content templates, client templates.
