SRI LANKAN OKRA CURRY (LADIES' FINGERS) VEGAN VEGETARIAN

Описание к видео SRI LANKAN OKRA CURRY (LADIES' FINGERS) VEGAN VEGETARIAN

Frozen Vegetables (and fruit too) are “ fresh-frozen” within about 3 hours of picking, retaining their freshness and nutritional value. They are sorted for quality, pre-washed, cut and cleaned before quick-freezing.

No defrosting/thawing is required before cooking as doing so will only yield a mushy mess.

Most often, the frozen produce does not contain any artificial ingredients as freezing is the method of preservation.

Look for brands that are fast-moving and stored in reliable freezers in stores. This will ensure you get the highest quality frozen produce.

Having frozen vegetables makes cooking even more pleasurable on a busy day.

Okra, also known as Ladies’ Fingers or Bhindi has a natural ‘slime’ that occurs during cutting and cooking. This is minimal in frozen Okra.

Usually when cooking fresh Okra, one would need to take out some of the sliminess by stirring it around in a hot pan for several minutes.

In this video I use frozen Okra right out of the freezer.

I hope you will try this recipe. See my other cooking videos on Aasai Rasai cooking channel on YouTube.
