This composition by G.J. Elvey is taken from ‘The Village Organist’, which was compiled (and composed for) by F. Cunningham Woods and John Stainer.

It was used as an Introductory Voluntary on Christmas Eve in St. George’s Chapel, Windsor and was also played at the Marriage of H.R.H the Duke of Albany during the procession of the Clergy.
