Congratulations! A female American barn owl (Tyto furcata) has laid her third egg on the LIVE Barn Owl Florida Cam 1, located at the University of Florida. Barn owls typically lay eggs several days apart, and each new egg extends the incubation period and often leads to asynchronous hatching, with chicks emerging on different days. The growing clutch signals favorable conditions and active breeding.

Live nest cam footage provides a rare opportunity to observe egg-laying, incubation behavior, and the early stages of breeding in real time. Documenting each egg helps researchers track reproductive timing, clutch size, and breeding success in barn owls.
