Batadomba Lena, Kuruvita || බටදොඹ ලෙන, කුරුවිට

You can reach this #prehistoric #Batadomba cave from #Valandura village on the #Siripagama road from #Kuruvita via Valandura through a difficult forest road about one and a half kilometers. In 1937, during the archeological excavations conducted by Mr. P.E.P. Daraniyagala, it was confirmed that #Balangodaensis or #Balangoda Man of the genus #Homosapien, who lived 35000 years ago, lived here. After that, the #archaeological excavations conducted by Mr. #Shiran Deraniyagala and Mr. #Nimal Perera from time to time identified human factors belonging to time ranges from today to 37000 years. Among them, human bone fragments, #microlithic tools, parts of plants such as Atticella, Kekuna, wilddel etc. which they used as food and parts of animals such as water and land snails, wild boar, reptiles, elks, baby elephants etc. were found.
A small stream flows in front of this Batadomba cave, which has a beautiful and quiet environment. It is located as a complex of interconnected caves and plants such as Atikesel and Wildel can be seen even today.

#කුරුවිට සිට #වල‍ඳුර හරහා #සිරිපාගම මාර්ගයේ වලඳුර ග්‍රාමයේ සිට කිලෝමීටර් එක හමාරක් පමණ දුෂ්කර වනගත මාර්ගයක් ඔස්සේ මෙම ප්‍රාග් ඓතිහාසික #බටදොඹ ලෙන කරා පැමිණිය හැක. 1937 වසරේ දී #පී.ඊ.පී.දැරණියගල මහතා විසින් කරන ලද පුරාවිද්‍යා කැණීම්වලදී අදින් වසර 35000 කට පෙර ජීවත් වූ #හෝමෝසේපියන් කුලයේ #බලංගොඩේනිසිස් හෙවත් #බලංගොඩ මානවයා මෙහි වාසය කළ බවට තහවුරු කරගන්නා ලදී. ඉන් පසු #ශිරාන් දැරණියගල, #නිමල් පෙරේරා යන මහත්වරුන් වරින් වර කරන ලද පුරාවිද්‍යා කැණීම් මගින් අදින් වසර 37000 දක්වා කාල පරාසයන්ට අයත් මානව සාධක හඳුනා ගැනිණ. ඒ අතර මානව අස්ථි කොටස්, ඔවුන් ආහාර ලෙස ගත් ඇටිකෙසෙල්, කැකුණ, වල්දෙල් ආදී ශාක කොටස් ද දිය හා ගොඩ ගොලුබෙල්ලන්, වල් ඌරා, උරග වර්ග, ගෝණා, අලි පැටවුන් ආදී සතුන්ගේ කොටස් ද හමු විය.
මනරම් නිස්කලංක වටපිටාවකින් යුතු මෙම බටදොඹ ලෙන ඉදිරි පසින් කුඩා දිය දහරක් කඩා හැලේ. එකිනෙකට යාව ලෙන් සංකීර්ණයක් ලෙසින් පිහිටා ඇති අතර මේ අවට ඇටිකෙසෙල් , වල්දෙල් වැනි ශාක අද පවා දැකිය හැක.
