Betrayed Partners Important First Steps

Kristin Snowden specializes in treating couples and individuals who are crisis due to infidelity, addiction, and other forms of betrayal. Kristin discusses the most common and necessary "first steps" to take after discovering infidelity or addiction in your relationship. Kristin uses her years of experience working in sex and love addiction recovery and with betrayed partners to share the important steps betrayed partners might take to set up non-negotiable boundaries, along with personal and emotional boundaries. SHe discusses the need to assess the severity of the situation and the behaviors of the betraying partner in order to determine the level of care and support one will need to move toward recovery. She shares the various forms of treatment from group support to individual therapy and when higher levels of treatment are suggested.
