All of us can help young people gain skills and abilities they need to grow and thrive -- while helping them be healthier and better able to address factors affecting our climate and our shared future. Jodi Crimmins is sharing a TEDx talk entitled, “How School Gardens Empower Young People.” Crimmins, a Whidbey Island native, managed to have her career and passion intersect. The Oak Harbor School District teacher and garden–lover has spent the past two years as a Garden and Sustainability Teacher on Special Assignment. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
