I completed this course on March 2nd, 2018, a few days after Koopa Park. By then, I was mixing in more Speed Golf along with The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, so I was playing Mario Golf a bit more.

Metal Mario sure made this one difficult by getting Eagle on three of the four Par 5 holes. Despite that, I still find Shy Guy Desert easier for this challenge than Koopa Park. There just aren't as many holes that can fully ruin Plum's day (though a couple sure tried). Furthermore, this course is the only course in the game where the odds of getting rain on any given hole are lower than 1/4 (1/16, to be exact). Plum has a much tougher time with rain, so having less of it is a very good thing.

The ending was the opposite of clean, but at least I had just enough of a buffer to tie on hole 18 and still win. Overall, I needed fewer attempts than Koopa Park to win on this course. However, the first three courses are nothing compared to the challenge presented by the next course, Yoshi's Island, and the final two courses. Three down, three to go.
