2024 Zeekr 7X in-depth Walkaround

Zeekr has designed the 7X with a clear focus on global markets. This midsize electric SUV has dimensions of 4825 mm in length, 1930 mm in width, and 2925 mm in height. Built on an 800V version of Geely’s Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA) platform, the 7X features a wheelbase of 2925 mm. It is relatively heavy, with curb weights ranging from 2298 to 2475 kg.

As a five-seater midsize SUV, the Zeekr 7X is aimed at families, offering ample interior space given its dimensions. The vehicle is equipped with 32 storage compartments for conveniently storing items like sunglasses and lipstick. Additionally, the trunk offers 616 liters of storage space, which Zeekr claims is sufficient for camping gear.

Inside, the 7X features a modern two-screen layout, consisting of a large floating infotainment screen and a fully integrated LCD instrument panel. The entertainment system is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chip. The vehicle is equipped with a four-spoke steering wheel that is flattened on both the top and bottom, with the bottom being more flattened. The steering wheel also includes two scroll wheels and several buttons. A notable change in the 7X compared to previous Zeekr models is the relocation of the drive selector to a stalk mounted on the steering wheel column instead of the center console.

The Zeekr 7X is available in both single-motor and dual-motor configurations. All models feature a 310 kW silicon carbide electric motor on the rear axle, while dual-motor versions also include a 165 kW motor on the front axle, enabling a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 3.8 seconds.

The SUV is equipped with an 800V architecture and offers two battery pack options: a 75 kWh and a 100 kWh pack. The 75 kWh battery, developed by Zeekr and produced by Geely subsidiary VREMT, is a lithium and phosphate battery known as the Golden Brick. This battery, which debuted in the 2025 Zeekr 007, supports 5.5C charging and can charge from 10% to 80% SOC in just 10.5 minutes, providing a range of 605 km using the CLTC cycle. The 100 kWh battery pack, supplied by CATL, features the Qilin battery, a nickel manganese cobalt (NMC) battery optimized for 5C super-fast charging, which gives the 7X a range of up to 780 km on the CLTC cycle. Notably, these battery options are the same as those offered in the 2025 Zeekr 007.
