Students learn how to improve their writing before worrying about grammar and how to edit effectively once revisions are complete.

In this lesson, students learn how to:
• Reread their narrative like a writer
• Revise by adding thoughts, feelings, and sensory details
• Identify places that feel rushed or unclear
• Understand the difference between revising and editing
• Edit for capitalization, punctuation, dialogue, and sentence clarity

This lesson helps solve a common problem in narrative writing:
