NW Live Arts presents an evening exploring the power of humanity to win against the odds, overcome obstacles and find beauty in unexpected places.
We work with musicians Jacqueline Shave (violin), Joely Koos (voice and cello), Catrin Finch (harp), James Larter (percussion) and Kuljit Bhamra (tabla) to curate a thought-provoking, uplifting evening of boundary-crossing music from different cultures, times and places. This event weaves together improvisation, folk music, classical music and music from each musician’s heritage to share a story of hope, beauty and humanity in uncertain times.

We curate performances of inspired music-making by world-class professional musicians from different cultures, together with storytelling by people from marginalised communities.

At our events, you will be exhilarated by an exciting feast of music from around the world, underpinned by powerful storytelling from those who face challenges in their daily lives.

We are dedicated to creating an inclusive space for people to explore their individual creativity, whilst building self-esteem and confidence. Our extraordinary musicians work sensitively with our community participants to present a woven narrative of music and words which reflect themes of social injustice and the environment.
