Developing discipline always begins with a struggle. There is no easy way to become a disciplined person. It has nothing to do with talent or ability. It is a matter not of conditions, but of choice.

(Proverbs 3:11-12) New Living Translation
11 My child, don’t reject the Lord’s discipline,
and don’t be upset when he corrects you.
12 For the Lord corrects those he loves,
just as a father corrects a child in whom he delights.


Every born-again Christian is filled with a basic desire to please the One who saved him from sin. This desire will bring discipline to our lives, with the resulting blessings of God upon us. Again, this can only be accomplished by faith toward God.
