Fauré Requiem 'In Paradisum' - Harmonic Piano Pedal Demonstration

In this video I demonstrate the sostenuto + harmonic resonance technique made possible by the new harmonic piano pedal in a well known work by Gabriel Fauré. This combined technique allows a chord to be held by sostenuto, freeing fingers to play on any part of the keyboard - even staccato with a sympathetic glow of harmonic resonance.

The harmonic piano pedal was invented by Denis de La Rochefordière. This is the first recorded recording of 'In Paradisum' with the harmonic piano pedal.
