I never had a good, memorable birthday in my childhood. All of the birthday's in my 20's were only 'fun' because I was under the influence of marijuana and liquor. Celebrating my 29th birthday sober was the first time I realized what pain I experienced year after year as a child and how I subconsciously sought that in my present reality. It took a sober eye to piece all of this together and implement change.
