This video shows you how to install an inner tie rod on your 2002-2005 Ford Explorer. The inner tie rod has a ball joint that can wear over time, causing a clunking noise, loose steering, and eventually, other problems with the wheel and suspension components. It’s a good idea to replace your inner tie rods as soon as you notice any of these symptoms.

This repair was done on a 2002 Ford Explorer XLT 4.0L Sport Utility 4-Door and the process should be similar on the following vehicles:
