In the decimated ruins of an ancient kingdom, a band of heroes venture forth into The West Marshes, and a new villain is created.

This story takes place in a West Marches campaign I ran a few years back named The Last City, and tells the tale of how one of the most famous villains from my campaigns was created during a brief adventure within The West Marshes (get it, cause it's a West Marches campaign, and the Marshes were to the West. I'm hilarious). Also this is my 1k subsciber special, so that's cool! Admittedly I reached 1K subscribers somewhere around eight months ago, but I've never been good at releasing things on time.

Resting in the center of a massive forest was the last city that remained in the ruins of a long destroyed kingdom. For the few months before this story, groups of adventures had been setting out on expeditions to fight back against the monsters that were lurking in the overgrown landscape, in the hopes of acquiring a vast quantity of gold and cool magic items…and also to make the world a safer place and other boring stuff like that.

The party consists of a mysterious archer known as The Purple Cloak, a charismatic musician named Uriel, a human druid named Falorin, and a half elf storyteller named Marnos Idokin, who had basically no skills that could actually help in a fight. However the party really enjoyed watching him fail so they kept inviting him on adventures.

If you're new to the channel, I'm the person who keeps trying to animate their tabletop rpg games with 8 bit pixel art, and so now is the best time to join because this D&D campaign story is only just beginning!
