Did you know that HYCU needs less than a minute to perform an incremental backup of 20 mil files Nutanix share if only a single file is changed?

We have added a 5.10 Nutanix cluster, and version 3.2 Nutanix files into HYCU. As you can see, we have already performed a Full and number of incremental backups. So, let us now add a single file in the Nutanix Files share and start a New backup manually. Legacy backup solutions would now need to traverse the whole file tree in order to find the changed files, a very time and resource consuming operation usually done only during off production hours. What you can see HYCU doing is create a Nutanix storage layer snapshot followed by getting the changed files in just a second. Once done, files are cataloged and offloaded to designated HYCU target.
Let us take a look at the latest restore point by navigating to Shares context. As you can see a single changed file on a 20 milion Nutanix files share was backed up in just 19 seconds. You can now find your file and select it for restore.
